Re: Canal street / Factory Place
As a young boy, I lived at 2 Braehead Place and regularly spent time at the garage in Factory Place. If memory serves correctly (now almost 74 years), it was the A1 bus garage. Viewing Google Earth, 17A/B/C/D/E and F Gladstone Road was then a Post Office behind which there was a park of sorts which was my way to the garage. ASW Motor Factors at 57 Raise Street was then Hector Crawford's Off-Licence.
