SKATING RINK AT SALTCOATS

The new roller-skating rink adjoining the Glasgow & South-Western Railway at Saltcoats was opened yesterday by Provost A. S. Millar.

The Provost, in declaring the rink open, congratulated the management on the appearance of the pavilion, and thought it would be a boon to people who were unfortunate enough while on holiday to have wet weather, as they would now have a place to go to.

The floor of the rink is 200 feet long and 42 feet broad, and is of maple.
