At the monthly meeting of Ardrossan School Board a letter was read from Dr. Turner, Saltcoats, resigning his position as a member of the Board. Doctor Turner is at present serving with H.M. Forces.

ARDROSSAN GRAIN MARKET
There was a small attendance at the market on Thursday.
There were 244 bolls wheat exposed of which 70 sold at 20s 6d, and 50 at 20s.
There were 54 quarters oats offered, which sold thus – 40 at 24s 6d, and 20 at 23s 9d.

Died on service, Private JOHN ORR MILLER, 9th Battalion Highland Light Infantry – Theatre of war, France and Flanders – son of the late Adam Miller, and Mrs Miller, 50 Princes Street, Ardrossan; and brother of Miss Janet R. B. Miller, 60 Princes Street, Ardrossan.
