Good Luck Andrew!

15-year-old Andrew Pirrie, of Kilwinning, three times Scotland's schoolboy international goalkeeper, left home on Monday to join English Second Division club Bradford. He took with him the best wishes of Rangers, Falkirk and Scotland 'keeper Jerry Dawson, who wished the youngster "good luck" personally when the two were introduced at the Y.M.C.A. Hall, Ardrossan, on the Thursday night prior to Andrew's departure,

The handshake of the two internationalists was greeted with uproarious applause by the many youths gathered in the hall where Jerry Dawson and Mr Tom Jennings were providing a coaching session with the aid of specially prepared films. Mr Edward Aird, Ardrossan, was responsible for organising the gathering, which was a huge success. Prior to his departure for Bradford, Andrew Plrrie played for the juvenile club Crosshouse Waverley
