Yes, he deserved the title "The Voice of Scottish Rugby". He knew the game and players inside out and was always very fair (even when we played England!). James Alexander Gordon, one of the most recognisable voices in British broadcasting , has died today aged 78.
Gordon read the classified football results on bbc radio ( grandstand) for 40 years before retiring in 2013.
He had a great tone that man .

On another night...
It’s telling that Allan McGregor has been one of Rangers’ best players tonight.
He’s made a couple of excellent saves and you have to say that while Gerrard’s men have been good, the scoreline flatters them.
An another night this could have been 2-4 or 3-4 quite comfortably.
