Hi Welcome!

Once you've registered as a member of our community forum please consider introducing yourself. You will be made most welcome.

I'm Hughie McCallum, one of the folk who help to keep the threetowners forum running. I was born and grew up in Ardrossan before migrating to Australia with my wife who is from Stevenston.

My Dad, Hugh McCallum was born and raised in Saltcoats as was his father, James Kelly McCallum. My Great grandfather Hugh McCallum, was born in Kilwinning in 1860 - like me he married a Stevenston lass. My Mum Susan (Boyce) McCallum was born and raised in Ardrossan.

Hi I'm originally from Stevenston, I went to St John's until 1969 and then on to St Michael's until 1974. I married Danny McSorley from Saltcoats - also St Michaels - in 1979, we moved about a bit and then settled in Neilston East Renfrewshire in 1983. We had 6 children, now aged between 23 and 11. Sadly Danny died in April 2000. I'm still living in Neilston with all 6 children -who show no signs of moving out!

Hi Anne

I read that you lived in St Andrews Rd, I also lived there till '64 when we left for Australia. I was born in Castle Rd then we moved with my Nanny to St Margarets Rd till we got the house in St Andrews Rd, number 14.I was only 12 when we migrated. :)
