The centre of Glasgow has been turned into 1969 New York for the new Indiana Jones movie - most of the streets festooned in US flags and blocked off to vehicle and foot traffic. Made a journey from central station up to Renfrew Street full of detours yesterday and it was hot. By the way, this is Glasgow Fair Friday today and it’s to be sunny and warm again.

Re: Indiana Jones Movie in Glasgow
I thought -why choose Glasgow? Must be all the skysrcapers nowadays in New York.
Re: Indiana Jones Movie in Glasgow
A lot of American citys are modelled on Glasgow's grid system, so Glasgow is perfect and I assume a lot cheaper than filming in New York. My mates daughter works in one of the shops that has had to close for filming and they are getting £2.5k a day for doing so.
Those wimin were in the nip.

Brad Pitt’s movie World War Z was also shot around Glasgow - bonzo’s right, it’s similar to NY - and other US cities with the regular grid style streets.
