Re: Back on the wireless again...
Nice mix of music, Bruce. I enjoyed the show. I very much liked Pauline Alexander's Fields of Gold. Also the harmonica track with the Highland Express, too fast and long for my lungs.

Looking forward to listening on catch up Bruce xx
Re: Back on the wireless again...
There was a bit where I was a bit - what’s the word - unprepared - my daughter and my wee grandson turned up unexpectedly, so they were sitting out the back door, and I was running up and down the stairs every few minutes!
Not too many local connections in that one, other than the track by the Leonard Brown all-stars. Liam Stewart, who was playing keys, teaches in Saltcoats.

Re: Back on the wireless again...
Thanks, Bruce.
Downloaded the program and will listen later. But I did a fast forward to Dougie MacLean's Ashokan Farewell. Loved it - wife picked up her ears as it's a favourite of hers too. I've said before if ever there was a tune that could be a theme to a documentory of the Highland clearances this would be it - and oddly composed by a Jew from the Bronx. Pity, it's been used to great effect already for the American Civil War documentary by Ken Burns.
