Orbison is mainly thought as a country artist,but he wasn't
He was a singer/songwriter more like in the Carol King style
I suppose him being part of the Sam Philipps Sun Records and the people there influenced him.
He returned to that kind of environment with the Traveling Wilburys

Enjoy this band from Australia. Not up with the best but i enjoy the cover songs performed- this one is currently my favourite.

He was a class above me at Ardrossan Academy. Saw him perform in the old fruit market in Glasgow a couple of years ago. Great night !

Went to see The Passing Show in Falkirk just after Robin Lucas & Drew McCulloch from Kilwinning/Ardrossan replaced Gallagher & Lyle.
Bonzo-Dog man Viv Stanshall was in the original show but got fed up with it and absconded, leaving a note in his caravan which read "Goodbye cruel circus, I'm off to join the world".
