That would be 1964 when Lulu was at the Ingledene. She was only 15.

I`ll start off by saying that a couple of years ago I was researching something totally unrelated to the three towns and recall coming across a reference to the fact that one of the conspirators in the Hitler assassination plot was
born in Montgomery St Ardrossan Can`t remember the name but thought it might intrigue some

I think you mean Otto Kiep. His father was Imperial Consul and the family lived in Glasgow. Apparently they were on holiday in the Three Towns when Otto was born.

Hi Bobbydarg
I remember when you were in your group, was Tommy Bryce in it ? My brother was in a group late 60,s but they were not as good as The Kraze, some of his pals were Thomas Ellingham, Robert Main,Tissimo (McCabe can,t remember his first name) and John Fulton they practiced in my dads garage but the neighbours complained and they would play in the Civic.

Milda/Meg,

Other than Bobby 'Ringo' Darg who is your favourite male Scottish film star?

Oh PT - too hard a question - how can you choose between Peter Capaldi, Bill Patterson, James McEvoy, Ewan McGregor, John Hannah, David Tennant, Tom Conti etc.etc. - there are hundreds. I must admit I didn't feel as warm towards Sean Connery when he admitted that he saw nothing wrong in ending an argument with his wife by giving her a slap! - but out of all the actors you could choose from, the one I would go to see even if he was just reading the telephone directory is Ken Stott - Breaking out of the Asylum, Vice and, of course, he is Rebus.

Milda, hope you find it easier making a choice :D

Meg/PT I also went off Sean Connery at that time.I also love Ken Stott and think he is brilliant as Rebus. For looks and lovely accent ,it has to be Ewan McGregor.Yes it is hard to choose ,as you say Meg, Bill Paterson etc.all all very good.

The other band consisted of Tommy Newall (dr) Colin Brown (organ) Thomson Ellingham(bass) Kevin McDevitt (vocals) who also booked the Bay City Roller and Slick for the Craiges...think there were two guitarists possibly not at the same time one I think was called Pat and stayed at the house that's back door is the Plantation.

Name of the band .......haven't a clue....Chase??
