Your photo could have been taken in Pretoria which at this time of the year is known as the Jacaranda City. They are beautiful to look at but are a bit messy once the flowers start dropping, but it is a small price to pay for such a wonderful sight.

Love the purple 'snow.'
Looking forward to April here, when the flowering cherry trees in the streets give us our pink snow.
Ach, it'll no' be long in goin' in.

Just had news that the folk are moving out of our new house, so we'll be flitting in the next couple of months.
- Really lookin' forward to that.

Hi John, the Jacarandas were just starting to come out when i left OZ,absolutley lovely. At my old house in Ardrossan we had quite a few Cherry Blossoms in the Terrace,i had a miniture one in my front garden, they didnt flower for long, and the Terrace was awash with pink and white petals all over the place.I always feel sorry for the cleansing guys who had to sweep up.

Hello Hugh and Bobby.
Those are lovely photos. in a garden on the corner cottage they had
a lovely pink flowering tree. but they have just had it cut down.
I liked to see it in bloom. Ellen.
