Sun Behind Ailsa Craig

Post by Hughie »

Couldn't work out where this photo could have been taken from with the Sun going down behind Ailsa Craig. Had a look at the map and I can now see that it could have been taken from somewhere like Ballantrae or even down near Stranraer. But I'm thinking that surely Arran and/or the Mull of Kintyre would be behind Ailsa Craig in this shot. Anyway, nice shot!

Hi Hugh
thanks for posting such a wonderful photo, as somebody who "dabbles"with a paint brush, that sky is something else
.But then, its Ayrshire, and what else would it be.
Jim.

Hi Josephine, I am lucky enough to have an original "Jimbo" hanging on my wall here in Ayr. Norma, Jim and Ian Gordon all have great artistic talent, but then I am biased I suppose, they are my siblings:-)

ps - I cant draw a straight line with a ruler, so think I might have been adopted:-)

Thanks Meg for those beauties, I'll say your lucky to have a ''Jimbo''
original. These posted are gorgeous, I especially love lady in red hat
they both seem to be from the flapper era. Your talent is in ''Teaching''
which is also a gift thanks for sharing.

Josephine.

What a nice setting for such a lovely photograph Meg. One of my daughters in law is a career teacher, teaching English and Maths to fourteen year olds.
Like Josephine, I love that painting by Jimbo of the lady in the red hat.
