STEVENSTON SPRING FLOWER SHOW
On Saturday the annual show took place in the public school, where there was a good attendance of visitors.
The exhibition was one of the most successful ever held by the society, the entries comparing favourably with previous years. Competitors brought forward their exhibits in splendid condition, and the display of blooms was quite an attractive one. Beautiful tables of plants, mostly in bloom, were shown by Mr. Lundholm, Dynamite House, and Mr. Laidlaw, Ardeer House.
The judges were – Messrs Bell, Ardrossan; Priest, Eglinton; and Ferguson, Thornhill.

STEVENSTON WATER SUPPLY
For some time there has been a controversy between the Irvine Corporation and the Stevenston Sub-Committee of the County Council as to water supply to new properties in Dynamite Road and Brickwork Road.
Irvine Corporation maintained that they were not bound to lay water pipes in roads which have not yet been taken over by the County Council and put on the list of highways. They have, however, agreed to extend their main water pipe to Dynamite Road to supply houses erected and in the course of erection, under reservation and without prejudice to the position which they have taken up in the dispute.
The want of water was assuming a serious aspect, and it is satisfactory that an arrangement has been come to. The houses in Brickwork Road are not as yet included in the arrangement and they are still without a water supply.
