This unnamed paddle steamer is entering Ayr harbour in the early 1900s. Perhaps one of our seafaring members can identify the PS.

By chance, I found a picture in a book on Old Glasgow and the Clyde that identifies the paddle steamer in this postcard as the PS Benmore.
"Built for Robert Campbell, for whom she sailed until 1885, Benmore sailed on the Glasgow to Kilmun service. Upon sale to Captain Buchanan, she maintined her original route before being transferred to the Broomielaw to Rothesay run. She also undertook excursions from Ayr."
