Fanning the flames of bigotry
Fanning the flames of bigotry
Re sickening graffiti in three towns. I share the disgust at most of this mindless graffiti, but surely affording them the oxygen of detailed reports of these incidents simply fans the flames of their senseless bigotry. I for one was unaware of the significance of ' 66 ' until I saw this post, and I'm sure that I'm not unique in this.
Re: Fanning the flames of bigotry
I tend to agree there tapnagol as I seldom give much thought to the implied significance of mindless graffiti scribbled on a wall unless the message is absolutely clear to me.
'Whataboutery' now there's a word.

In my innocence, I had to Google this.
I suggest that we close this thread down so that this disgusting idea doesn't get any more publicity.

As I understand this, it purports to celebrate the death of 66 Rangers fans in the Ibrox disaster in the early 1970's.

Sorry this all went over my head till John's last post, So I did a search to reveal the topic in question.
I don't think we need to close this down, no one here will condone or support the actions of these idiots.
