Heritage Ctr Set To Move
Heritage Ctr Set To Move
Hi,
Happened to hear the heritage ctr in Saltcoats may be moving to the town halls in Irvine next year.
Sad times. They have visitors from all over the world...not to mention the fact that visitors will spend money in the toon.
Wonder what the council have planned for the building.

Pound shop, wetherspoons? The town hall in Irvine is being refurbished just now. As you say it would be a crying shame to take it away from Saltcoats.

A shame indeed always have a wee lookin when I,m home, who makes these decisions and where are the local councilers when these decisions are made? Sleeping or don,t care about the three toons
Re: Heritage Ctr Set To Move
That will be a shame however part of the problem may be that there isn't enough space to put a lot of the exhibits on display. You could also argue what has it to do with Irvine its not their history.

I was surprised it moved into the Museum in the first place. I thought it was far to small a place for both.

Edit- Just a though ,but how is the Town Hall, Countess St. Is it still being renovated?
Edit-Just seen the Council has bagged it.

The Council are using it for all the housing offices in the toons. They also moved Social Services in there too.
I preferred the individual housing offices but alas.....
When I went in just to make an enquiry I found the place very unfriendly.

Was there an atmosphere?

Yes. It seemed very anti-Bill.

Please stop using our forum as a platform for your crusades against North Ayrshire Council. Your preferences of likes/dislikes against their employees really don't have a place in our Current Affairs topics, or indeed in our forum where they have no right of reply. Also any obnoxious PMs that are sent to me because I have taken moderator action will be copied onto the forum for everyone to read and appropriate action will be taken.

Meg I think you have overreacted some of us including a local councillor aren't pleased with the incompetence and attitude that has been exhibited. I do not have any reason to send you a personal message. I will not again use this forum to criticise North Ayrshire Council.
