I would imagine that most of our three Towners have lost a relative in war. Watching the ceremony on Sunday where all those rich folk laid the first wreaths. Maybe they did lose someone dear to them but think of the mistakes and lies that were told,. A young man who lost his legs and genitals as I understand it laid his wreath. A young life ruined and what has been achieved?

remembrance
Re: remembrance
I read to-day in the Ardossan and Saltcoats Herald that if you have a relative who is deceased and was awarded war medals you are legally entitled to attend a wreath laying service and wear them.
Re: remembrance
Not sure about wearing them, the wreath laying is OK but you need to see who is organising the event if you're laying one at 11.00am

Re: remembrance
The original recipient would wear their own national Awards on the left breast and foreign Awards on the right. The descendant of a deceased medal recipient would wear an ancestors medals ONLY on the right breast above foreign Awards if applicable.

Re: remembrance
Sadly, nothing. Young lives are still being lost and ruined. It will never end. Humans will always be at war with each other until we learn we are all the same, wanting the same thing...peace. But power corrupts and those in power become greedy and self serving. It is the nature of the beast!5siamese7 wrote:....... A young life ruined and what has been achieved?

Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

I'll second that Catherine, there never seems to be an end to it..
Every day on TV more killing you can't get away from it, It beggars belief...
