Up the watter

Post by little plum »

Inspired by Susan's topic " doon the watter" I thought I would post this image of Britannia on it's way to Greenock. I appologise for the quality, it was taken at approx 06:15 yesterday morning.

Aye Morag there's a wheen o folk oan the boat, numbers vary from what I have googled 3,600 to 4,300 and that's no counting the crew of 1500 +

Later on that morning there were some naval activity, high speed craft of different spec passed by, my BIL informed me that this usually indicates that they going out to meet a nuk sub to escort it up the clyde. It was about 1hr later when the sub emerged from the gloom, that's my excuse for the poor image but our weather has been dreadful.
Wouldn't it be luvly if they parked it 30 miles from the centre of London .
