Houston, We Have a Problem.

Post by michaelm »

I'm thinking the problems that some folk have been having viewing utube videos on threetowners at the moment might simply be down to whether they're accessing it by an http link or an https one.

For instance, I now know that when I use an http link either with Edge or Chrome, all the utube videos appear.
But when I use an https link they all disappear bar the text etc.

I'm no expert and just guessing here, but maybe there's an error somewhere in the https link to Threetowners.

I think we can live with this for a month or more. We'll have a new upload system for videos from many sites when we upgrade the forum. :)

Ok Hughie, no problem at all with that and looking forward to the forthcoming upgrade.

Apart from posting actual links to utube, I was really just trying to offer another possible solution for folk who are having trouble viewing the videos on here.

Good to hear that bonzo.

I stumbled across that particular wee short term 'solution' mostly by chance, often the case for I.T. dummies like myself. :puter
