Our son's Junior Golf Clinics always end with a bit of fun. The kids love to aim for the ball picker-up, driving the tractor at the end of a clinic. The promoters picked up on this and arranged to have Tom Hawkins a much respected Aussie Rules footballer join in to help promote junior golf. Can you see the enthusiasm these kids are showing?

Hi Hughie,
I'm sure your son makes sure to impress upon the children that they must ALWAYS give way to the greenkeepers, who will ALWAYS try not to keep waiting players waiting.
JD.

Pretty sure there were a few of the 'Not so Young' down at Auchenharvie Practice Range who used the ball picker-up truck for a target at times as well.
And yes, Junior sport should be fun as that's what tends to get them 'hooked' in the first place.

Down at the bottom end of St Michaels playing fields Kilwinning us lot would try and hit the windows of the Pennyburn flats with what golf clubs and old balls we had in our armoury. My conscience is clear most would not have made it over the Railway line.Never cracked it ...
