Kids Sports Interests

Post by Hughie »

Grandson, Fraser McCallum, our Jamie's son, played on the iconic MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on Sunday as a 7yr old in the "Aussie kick" junior event during half time. He's full-on about sport - can't get to school early enough to kick a football before the bell with his mates, whether it be soccer or Aussie football.

His dad is famous in our family for having a BOG on the MCG in 1984.

He is so like you. Definitely a McCallum. You all must be so proud of him.

Whats a BOG Hughie? My grandson is also 7 years old and his favourite sport is swimming. Football twice a week. Looks very cold over there the way people are dressed. We are just coming into autumn after the hottest summer for two decades.

BOG = best on ground. It's a common expression in Aussie Rules football circles here. Happy to say the boy loves and participates also in football and basketball. First day of Spring today!
