Just as an aside, his last meal was chips and tea. No mention of whisky there...

They gave him the whisky just before they hung him. I bet it was Bells whose motto is "Afore ye go."

It was a large straight whisky which he knocked back and then the hood was put on and he was dropped.

Just finished reading "Host" by Robin Cook
A medical thriller, main characters two final year medical students uncovering a big drug company's illegal activities. A bit slow to start with, I almost gave up on it, well into the story before things got more interesting. Too much detailed medical language used.

Been enjoying a couple of books by Joy Ellis over the last few weeks downloaded to Kindle:
Detective Inspector Nikki Galena and her Detective Sergeant Joseph Easter solve crimes in the Lincolnshire Fens.
