Hi, Phyl, I am Scottish by birth but have been in Aus. since 1964, same as Hugh and Betty.
Bob and I are now Aust. Citizens. We have 2 Aussie kids, a daughter and a son and 3 lovely Aussie Grandkids.

Everything with sugar Catherine, a piece an' sugar, a stick o' rhubarb an' a poke o' sugar, half an apple, orange (rarely)or tomato dipped in sugar...
I remember being given the well cooked rib bones from the soup to chew on, you could gnaw them down to almost nothing! Probably very good for you but today's youngsters would probably be horrified

We used to get the ribs from the butchers across
from your shop! was that the Co-op butchers? Who was
the barbers shop next door was it Northcotes? Keep
thinking about "old stinson", nae much left of that!
have been trying to get a photo of St. Micks around 1957-58
I was in "B" course but cannie find one, I think all my classsmates
must have disappeared.
