Hi Hugh,
At the moment I feel fairly normal with no obvious indication that I’ve any serious life threatening illness. A senior palliative care nurse in Palmerston North Hospital referred me to our local Hospice here In Wanganui. Since coming home from hospital I’ve had a visit from a Hospice lady who explained how they work & the facilities they have. She invited me to visit & look over the place for myself which I intend to do. Nonetheless I’m still quite capable of looking after myself at home.
Had a Consultant whom I’ve known for many years from a local lawyer’s office visit me at home to revise my will & enduring Power of Attorney.
I’m scheduled to go to our local hospital this coming Thursday for a CT Urography which I assume will be something to check what’s going on in my Urostomy system especially re-the carcinoma in my Ileal conduit. At this stage I’m not in any serious pain or discomfort from that source but it’s a case of edit & see
