Sad to read of the passing of Jack Halliday. Bobby and I knew him from School and the Church of the Nazarene. His name is often mentioned in our home. RIP, Jack.

Yes, sad to hear. A former school mate at Eglinton. Younger brother of Tommy who played for Winton Rovers. Condolences to the family.

Condolences to the extended family of Mrs. Sadie Cunningham.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Cunningham and her late husband when I was growing up in Rowanside Terrace, Ardrossan, and delivering their Evening Times, Monday to Saturday. Granny Retzbach, Mrs. Cunningham's mother, who lived with the family, liked to study the horse racing 'entries' the night before she had a wee 'flutter,' and, of course, to see the daily winners. It was always in my interests for her to win .

Mrs. Cunningham must have been the last surviving 'parent' from all the original residents of the street?
