Sorry to see the passing of John Shearer, Junior. He was a class or two ahead of me at school in Ardrossan and I remember him as a cheerful, thoroughly decent individual; and he was, of course, the son of the legendary PC John, and Mrs Grace Shearer.
I'm aware from a recent post that Mrs Shearer is still to the fore at 90+ and my heartfelt condolences are extended her. Also to the rest of John, Junior's family and friends, particularly his sister, who posts on Threetowners from time to time as LESLEYVASS, and to SHEARER, who posted fairly recently, and who, from my reading of her contribution, must either be a daughter or niece of John, Junior. A sad time for all.
