Yes JD, saw that Satch had passed away - it's so sad for those girls to lose both their parents in such a short time. I didn't know him very well, but I grew up in Clyde Terrace, just along the road from the Cairns and knew Gwyther well. My sister Norma was of a similar age and I used to love watching them going out to the dancing glammed up to the nines. Condolences to the family.

Also their youngest sister Helen, back in May. Step sister to be accurate. The three youngest in the family are Gilmour. Same mother, different fathers.

She tragically took her own life in the train incident at Stevenston station, aged 55.

Helen was a lovely lassie. Always very cheerful to everyone.

That family will certainly be glad to see the back of 2016. A terrible year for them.
