A couple of pictures now from staff dances for local Post Office employees. This first one was for staff of Saltcoats Post Office, and dates from June 1972.

Re: GPO staff dances early 1970s
I'll try and name a few.
Looking at the photo, the second head to the left of the lady holding the highest position is George Bunch, originally St. Andrew's Road, later Eglinton Place, Ardrossan.
Two heads to the left of him, I'm guessing is a Billy Wilson, also from Ardrossan.
The man standing on the extreme left, in what I would call the middle row, is Dick Adamson, originally Mill Glen Road, Ardrossan.
The lady at the extreme right on the back row is Mrs. Margaret Dalziel, Craigdene Drive, Stevenston. The second head to the left of her is her husband, John, a police officer at Green Street, Saltcoats.
The lady third from the right in what I would call the second front row is, I think, Christina Graham, at one time of Alloway Place, Ardrossan, and, if I'm right, she has her arm round the neck of her husband Ward Graham.
And the chap front row left, looking away from the camera, resembles David Cruickshanks, originally Barrie Terrace, Ardrossan.

Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

This picture, dating from September 1974, is less specific about who is there, merely saying GPO employees.
