Looking for some memories of my much loved family from the 3 towns ..
Ok so here's what I know ...
My grandfather was Alexander Fleck Fullarton, a master baker from Stevenston, Ayrshire. Keen bowler and president of Arden bowling club. Married to my grandmother Annie Morrison Mcghie Fullarton from 1942 until he passed away in 1982. One daughter, my mum Annette Morrison Mcghie Fullarton (Douglas).
All have since departed, looking for lovely stories x

Sandra,
I see you're a first time poster and have no idea therefore of what you know, what you don't know, or whether you live locally.
I note however, that the following Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald BDM database includes the family intimation of your grandparent's marriage in the 16 January 1942 edition.
There is also the intimation of the birth of a girl in the 25 December 1942 edition, the father being an Alexander Fullarton. Could this be your mum's arrival?

I also note from the 1937 North Ayrshire Directory that there was an ANNIE McGHIE, Confectioner, at 77 New Street, Stevenston. Did your grandmother or great-grandmother have a 'sweetie shop'?
Can we take it too, that your grandfather was president of ARDEER Bowling Club as opposed to ARDEN, which is in Glasgow?

Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Sandra
I remember your family, they stayed in Moorpark a Road West otherwise known as "the Caley"
There was also brothers named Fleck who I believe would be your grandfather's uncles.
They stayed at no 5 or 7 Moorpark Road West and your grandparents at no 11
I used to take your mother Annette to higher grade school in New Street as I was several years older
Hope someone else remembers your family
