The class act that is N.A.C. have decided my ceiling has asbestos without doing a single test. That is some superpower.

Now I have to deal with a contractor they have rung up.

Does anyone know if I will have to get out the hoose for the day it takes, or can I sit in the kitchen with a mask over my face??

Vivc, hi.
I might have some bad news for you. I had to clear out my BIL's house after he died and they closed the place for a week and sealed it before the men in white suits and masks came to clear the asbestos up.
I hope you have better luck them me. Be interested to hear the outcome.
BTW, the council will know exactly what materials were used when the houses were built.

Viv I think you will have to vacate the house. Special stuff I would pack. They might put you up in the Lauriston. Failing that I've a couple of spare bedrooms.

On the positive side, they don't seem too concerned about it.
In my BIL's case it was sealed immediately they discovered the stuff.
