Doubt if it has much to do with the current Commonwealth games as I think most folk who jog on a regular basis do so simply to help maintain their overall fitness levels or lose a wee bit of weight.

I always put my bin out the night before collection. :)

I put my bin out the night before collection too. I snuck some plants into the black bin the other week. The bin men did not notice. Woo hoo.

I have kept a cactus in the house. I remember when I bought this cactus for dad back in around 2003. Tiny wee thing it was then, now it is BIG. I will water it today.

She and a pal are featured in a campaign by a local public transport action group to promote more use of our local public buses - use it or lose it kind of thing.

Gosh if Spike Milligan was alive to-day he would be 100 years old. The guy had a lot of talent and his books I loved. However like a lot of men of his generation he was caught up in that horrific war and most of the men who saw action just had to live with its effects. He lived in Sussex where my father's family came from and I can remember my dad's cousin talking about him. He would sometimes meet him in the doctor's surgery when usually he would be very chatty and amusing and other times sullen. I read that he suffered from manic depression which must have been horrible for him. He gave a lot of joy to millions of people and was also a humanitarian.
