Australia is a wonderful country but you kind of feel your not in a foreign land. Its so easy to fit in and most folk are friendly. I guess the fact that folk speak English increases these feelings. I did have a run in in with a sheep farmer who was angry because I didn't want to see a sheep being shorn because the animal was under stress .I also said that when Paul Hogan was in Britain he couldn't understand why folk would want to watch collie dogs rounding up sheep. When I mentioned Paul Hogan I thought he was going to blow a gasket. I guess he wasn't that popular in Ozz.

I remember years ago in Las Vegas going into a shop that sold doughnuts and the amount of icing sugar on them was terrible. I said to the shop assistant who eats that stuff? and she looked at me as if I was from another planet.
The icing is the very thing I have my eye on.
Maybe try some icing on the birds for Xmas day.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I had a really lovely time in Ozz which could have been marred because I left my wallet in a hotel in Alice Springs. However I was on a tour and the hotel staff were able to post my wallet to our tour representative when we reached Sydney. A lot of nice folk in the world.

A long time ago when money was tight I declared that I would get a lovely tree from the countryside. Well I took the top of this lovely blue spruce and it was about 7 foot tall when I started my three mile trudge home . By the time I arrived home it was down to three feet. Anyway it was the best tree ever and the good thing is the original tree would continue to grow.

Gosh Christine Keeler has died . She was a fine bit of stuff and part of my growing up. I'm thinking the older you get the more you see special folk fall of their perch.

When Madonna eventually goes, I will have a crisis of monumental proportions.

The iconic picture of her sitting on the chair must have adorned manys a bedroom wall, up there with Marilyns dress blowing up and the girl tennis player scratching her bum.
