I'm wary of buying game from supermarkets because probably it hasn't been hung properly. Those pheasant breast were rubbish and I will never ever ever make that mistake again.

My wife & I try & steer clear of any meats sold in supermarkets since it came to light that most of them are selling halal meat. It’s barbaric & from the dark ages & our supermarkets must get to grips with this immediately.
It’s a known fact the uk now carries out more halal slaughter than the rest of Europe, & what for? We’ll because we invoked a ‘religious exemption’. Truly unbelievable.
We always try & source where our meat has come from, & find our local butcher the most reliable.
