Two months ago in this same hotel an english accountant was arrested for an offence in Australia dating back to 1994 through 2005. He was a tax fraudster and money launderer and was hunted in the category red alarm by Interpol. He was the accountant for the film 'Crocodile Dundee' and sent all the profits to Offshore banks, thus avoiding paying taxes to the Australian government. He has since been living in luxury driving his Bentley between Switzerland, Monte Carlo and France, never once was he discovered until he stayed in this luxury hotel and through giving his passport details to the receptionist which are handed in to the police every day he was recognised and arrested. He has been in prison now here in Como for two months and refuses to be extradited to Australia where it is not possible to process anyone who is not present in person. His name is Philip Egglishaw. A pat on the back to the Italian Police of Como.

Went for a wee swim at Harvies this morning. Bit busy but not that bad.

Once in the changing rooms, to my horror, I heard the emergency alarm kick in. Poor young lad had got into difficulty and had to be rescued. The entire pool was then quickly evacuated.

I think the kid was OK though !! Just badly shaken.

Lucky Harvies staff train regularly and are quick. Once even saw a lifeguard jump in trainers, trousers and top (!!)

So long as Viv is sticking to 14units a week then its fine to have another one. Excess drinking should be discouraged. Now where did I leave my halo ah yes at the bar, doubles and trebles on me.
