I fear a second wave is just over the horizon in Scotland. I went to Marks and Spencer’s in Ayr town centre around 9ish on Friday morning. Up til now it’s been quiet, no queues, shelves well stocked etc. OMG - it was sooooo busy and the High Street just looked normal for a non-lock down weekend morning. Very few people were wearing masks, social distancing on the street was non existent people were standing in groups blethering- it was scary - you would have thought Nicola had just said “that’s it by, do whatever you like”. Ayr shore was so busy yesterday my friend told me she couldn’t get parked anywhere at 10 o’clock. Not good news.

I like listening to Jason leitch on a Saturday on off the ball (radio Scotland) he talks sense to me. He was explaining about the relaxing of the lockdown and tam Cowan asked him what happens if you visit someone and you need a pee, is it ok to use their toilet? Professor Leitch's answer was if you are in someone else's garden long enough to need the toilet you've been there to long.
On the subject of barbeques he said that this is on the very edge of what is allowed. I think people should be watchful of there actions. We are just about to go for a walk and I fully expect to see more people out and about.

I like Jason Leitch - he does make sense. We walk in the morning - up and out straight away - so we leave the house around 7 am and get back at 7.50 am we meet the same 3 or 4 people every day including two runners. We get back, have breakfast, shower then start our day. We’ve been doing this for the 10 weeks of lockdown and will continue with the routine as we can steer clear of the majority of people at that time. Supermarket shopping is click and collect at Sainsbury’s so the only shop I go into is M&S but after Friday that might change. I would love to visit my pal in Saltcoats but I just feel it’s too soon to be socialising - we’ll leave it for a week or so.

A question to those of us who live outside the UK. How is your tv news and or newspapers reporting how things are here in the UK - we don’t often see or hear how the news is being reported unless you are following someone overseas on twitter, or in my case are getting email from friends who live in Europe, the US, NZ and Australia. I think we are becoming a little inured at just how serious things are because it has been a constant drip feed from the major media and newspapers.

What I was told (directly) the reporting is inacurate in the UK, and true figures are worse that was a fortnight ago, as Johnson planed to exit lockdown.
Looking at the NY Times they seem to be reasonably accurate in respect of Johnson's stupidity, the rest of the US (and only looking at a very,very small amount they seem to follow the Trump interpretation of "Boris is doing a grand job,and is a wonderful human being"
Al Jazeera?.....their reporting seems reasonably accurate , ie not following UK lead....
Of course MSM are in dire straights, financaly and "turnover" wise
Al Jazeera Russia Today and a load more are the Alt.Alternative to MSM, but as their popularity increase they then become the New MSM

I have to say that the FT and the Guardian have been much more accurate in their reporting - the death toll now standing at 64000 I believe.

Providing there will be an INDEPENDENT review - hopefully it will all come out in the wash.

Very interesting article in the Guardian today on why The Lancet has suddenly backtracked on their negative advice on chloroquine.
Seems both they and the New England Journal of Medicine were taken in by a dodgy, 3-person data company in the USA.
