Just turned on TV to catch an interview on BBC with Glen, Milda’s son. The hospital she was taken to were pressurising her into signing a DNR if her condition worsened. Her son said they were left in limbo all weekend - with Milda refusing to sign anything. They have managed to get her under the care of a consultant who treated her for pneumonia last year, so the Grundle family feel more confident. They didn’t mention how she was doing this morning.

Get well soon Milda.

We have now reached a total of 100 doctors and 26 nurses who have died with coronovirus. However the general picture is of a steady decrease in positive cases, perhaps also due to more testing, and less victims. Phase 2 should have some small businesses open after 13 April, one county at a time, and the borders opening from 4th May. But I heard today that schools could be closed until September.

Hi Jean - four weeks ago we were horrified that 1000 Italians had died in one day - yesterday, we were just 360 short of that for the UK. It’s like living in the middle of a horror movie - thank God the Westminster Government deviated from the “let the virus run through us and take it on the chin” - or it would have been far far worse.

Hope you are well and managing the confinement.

Homage - To all the children in my neighbourhood who i have not seen out for weeks during my infrequent walk to the shops. That generation will have the horrors of the virus with them for the rest of their lives.
