Hi group,
if any one is interested BBC has stopped Top of The Pops,
after 42 years, some of you may remember watching it in the 60's
before you left Scotland. best wishes. Ellen.

Yes george, I remember Radio Luxemburg - everybody listened to the Top Tewnty on a Sunday night. My recollections are of Johnny Ray and Frankie Lane always being up at the top. Then Teresa Brewer came along and many others as Rock 'n' Roll took over.

I also remember them extending their broadcasts till 2am when many of those awake would be trying to get the AFM - American Forces in Germany before that.

Hugh i still hear those good old songs almost everyday. We have a Radio station here in Mandurah, Clasic fm96.5 THE GOLDEN YEARS OF RADIO. My car radio is set permanantly to that station so every time i get in the car its like driving down memory lane. But my Wife when she gets in the Car, says whats all this old rubish, when are you going to move into the 21 century. So now my wife has to walk!

Yes, I remember listening to Radio Luxemburg (208, station of the stars) under my pillow on a Sunday night for the top 20. Does anyone remember Horace Batchelor, who had a pools solution, and his address was Keynsham, spelled K E Y N S H A M, Kensham, Bristol. I can hear his voice spelling this out to me even now.
