natural disasters quadrupled

Post by creamolafoam »

Noticed an article in my paper the other day that a un chief is saying that these have quadrupled since 1970. A real scary thought. Really bringing it home with these terrible scenes of destruction in the carribean from those unbelievable storms. Feel for all those out there.
Just puts our moaning over here about our wind and rain and all we get, into perspective. Never been so glad to live on these shores that's for sure

I don't think any part of the world is immune to natural disasters. In Montreal we had the ice storm of 1998. We were without power for 3 days, and the indoor temperature was 11 Celsius. Out in the countryside, some had no power for 5 weeks! This spring, 2017, we had bad flooding around Montreal. In both situations, areas of Eastern Ontario were also affected.
