One gull at the moment appears far more intelligent than the others. He has worked out that if he comes across to where the magpies n pigeons are fed, he can bag himself extra snax.

He was also carefully watching me bin paper the other day.
Viv- for a long time birdies could be used as spies. i think this bird was checking up on you to make sure you put the paper in the proper bin (recycle) dont underestimate the cooncil...

We had a wood pigeon as a guest in our living room for two days last weekend. It came down the chimney, lodged behind the gas fire and could not get out. Noisy! We had to wait until Monday to get Scottish Gas to disconnect the fire, separate it from the wall and then the SSPCA came and recovered the hungry, thirsty but very much alive bird.
We are getting the chimney stack removed and close up the fireplace and throw away the old gas fire.

The pigeon is a hen. The disc have nothing to do with ring registration. Can only speculate what they are.

You're a wee star, but I would not put my address out there for heaven knows who to come across it (!!)

This morning I had run out of bread (tsk tsk), so had to feed my birds some chocolate and hazelnut cereal pieces. Seemed to go down well, mind you.

A Seagull following the Arran ferry.
This pic isn't by me. It was taken by a pal as we were returning to Ardrossan after a wee golf trip to Brodick.
