First up, they are nowhere never Favourites and because I can't remember the Gaelic Metal Bands name.
These are Two Scottish Music Metal Bands as classed by Metal Hammer

Alestorm, seems to me as a cliched Jack Sparrow Adam Ant Chop Suey with an inadequate level of soy sauce

I thin the yes movement can be blamed for a resurgence in scottish folk music, Ted Christopher, kevin Gore, Schiehallion, runrig, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Dougie MacLean just to name a handful. Gigs are generally busy and the atmosphere electric. Was never into the folk stuff until yes came along and with going to rallies, hearing the guys play it leads you to gigs and so on
