Lemons and Household Tips

Lemons are very useful and not only for Gin and Tonics with ice of course.
Also very handy around the house... as the link below assumes.
I read the other day Coke a Cola is good for the toilet pan but will not go into that.
Have you any money saver tips or old ideas passed down.

Bleach mixed with bicarbonate of soda is brilliant for cleaning the grout between tiles.

Honestly done it a few times any mildew is wiped oot just leave it on overnight then wipe off.

Wife uses Acetic Acid (Vinegar) on a few things including the windows - think there was even a book written about things you could do with it.

Put on sunglasses... No longer notice the need to clean.... Go out.... Come back... Keep glasses on ..enjoy a cool lemonade.

Lemons of course are great with fish. Now here's the thing folk cook fish with lemons in aluminium foil. Because they are acidic this surely would increase the amount of aluminium in your fish. There is thought to be a link between aluminium and Alzheimer's disease. On a lighter note a glass of hot water with lemon is a great bowel cleanser.
