Re: Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi

A couple of years ago, I read that Jim Swire (father of a Pan Am victim, and Scottish Doctor) said publically he was convinced that Megrahi wasn't even involved, let alone guilty and it made me want to read more - Dr Swire now believes Mohamed Abu Talb (an Egyptian PLO member) is guilty and that Meg...

Re: Saltcoats Multiview 1960

I'd also like to know how to find my avator again? I could ask where you left it David, but I dont think that would help :D Usually an avatar is uploaded from your own machine, and you can upload it through the User Control Panel - Profile - Edit Avatar. Re: School Dinners

Poor you Bob - I remember being in Primary 1 at Winton Primary being made to eat fatty lamb by a very stern Mrs Dixon, who stood over me whilst I tried to swallow gristle and greasy meat. She moved pretty fast when I threw the whole lot back up over her feet - I was allowed to leave fat at the edge ...

Re: World War II Tank Traps

I dont know if I am remembering this rightly, but I think my dad also said that there was a plan that they could be used also as barriers across the main roads leading in and out of the town - he said that there were metal poles about 3 or 4 feet high that had a metal barrier across the top, so it w...

Re: World War II Tank Traps

I can tell you exactly where they were in Glasgow Street PT - they were between the Plazza and the Gents Toilet on the corner. My dad told me about the pattern of the metal covers identical on both sides of the street. There were a lot more in Ardrossan, I can remember the ones in Dalry road, and I ...
