When the trains were deisel the trains were rarely cancelled. Only when the line was electrified.
Remember coming into Saltcoats station and the waves would be hitting the windows - quite thrilling at times.

If Stevenston came first alphabetically, like Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston is, would we care. Lol. Or is it because A S&S come in line. We are just so used to the three towns coming in a particular order i suppose we dont think about it til someone puts it back to front.

My understanding was that it was originally an infectious disease hospital. So TB, scarlet fever, cholera. Anything that would infect the community landed in the hospital. Hard to believe now as the hospital was isolated - no houses etc

Christmas banned

Over the Christmas holidays it was brought to my attention that an Act of Parliament Scotland banned celebrating said holiday in the 1640's. Thanks bonzo. Tried that. Its probably the system here. NBN. Its frustrating because you can either read it one time and not the next or the other way round. Hughie sent via messenger to you. I have noticed too that if i go back to read notices that Ive already read that it has gone fuzzy like this and one cant read them. It has only happened in the notices that i can tell. Thought you needed to know. Bear in mind I was use my mobile .
