I always felt that if you were ill and had to stay off your work (and not being paid) then medicines to get you well again and able to return to work should be free. I might be wrong but I think in the early days of the NHS prescriptions were free. I cant quite remember when we started being charged...

It's all doom and gloom at the moment, but what a party there will be all around the world when we finally we get through this and I'm sure that we will get though it.

Don’t like her Bonzo but I think you are right she is great at getting her point across. No one in the Scottish Parliament, at least, can match her in an argument.

on a lighter side I seen a cartoon today where a team of doctors/ nurses are looking at victims of the virus and saying "yes they are dead but look how clean their ar--s are" :oops:

I first heard the original “Ghost riders in the Sky” in the Douglas’s lounge, not sure but I think it might have been Joe Slaven who sung it.

Brian don’t know if you knew that John Newton was a sea captain who was the master of a slave ship. The hymn “Amazing Grace” was probably inspired by the sounds he heard coming from the hold onboard his ship. Interestingly I am informed the tune of this great hymn can be played on just the Black key...
